i’m positively obsessed with pura vida bracelets. while visiting costa rica, griffin thall and paul goodman met a man named jorge, who was selling these awesome handmade bracelets on the street. they became friends with him and found out he was living in a small room with several members of his family. they decided to bring jorge’s bracelets back with them to the US, where they were able to distribute them in over 1500 surf shops, boutiques, and retail stores, giving jorge the opportunity to now live comfortably in a house and employ 25 of his local costa rican friends full-time. cool story!

not only that, but pura vida donates a part of its proceeds to the surfrider foundation. speaking of surfrider, hit me up if yall ever want to do beach cleanups with me this summer! next one is july 21.

like me! i’ve just discovered 3floz.com, which is a beauty shopping site precisely for “those who travel, those who are curious, and those who can’t commit.” think about it…being able to shop beauty products in (tsa-approved) mini sizes…and even finding the perfect kit for a weekend at the beach, a sleepover with your man, or just one of those days when you feel like a hot mess. amazing! you can even build your own kit to get you through anything. that’s what i’m talkin about.

finally, my band’s music vid for our song “early exit” is out! i was a lil jazzy on my couch watching kourtney and kim take ny and i thought, kim k and hump would be the perfect poster couple for the song. maybe we clowned on them a little but actually i feel for kim, bc i had my heart broken too back in the day. but anyways, we got help from our awesome lomographer buddy satomi sugiyama, who shot the live footage, and our cutie gf angie meng, who flawlessly edited it all together. we had a lot of fun with this vid and i hope yall like it too!
