3D x 2

i posted before about my boyfriend’s band’s crazy 3D show last year.  well kid infinity is doing it again, next week, this time even more radical.  if you missed this last time, it is a spectacle not to be missed twice.  and if you did see it last time, prepare for some new hotness.  see you guys there!

summer breeze

no better time to dream endlessly about summer than january.  it’s like you’re so far away from the best time of the year but creeping oh so close to it.  also it’s my birthday and usually the birthday gods bless me with a week or 2 of blissfully sunny, stereotypically california weather.

gearing up for a beach birthday weekend with this silly seals and croft song and some dreamy beach images.

moodboard

i’ve been working on a photoshoot for the covers of foreign editions of 2 major magazines.  the shoot is happening really soon and i’m excited because this has become my baby.  i got to develop the concept, which is “summer romance”, and i chose the photographer and the stylist i wanted to execute my vision.  this is my moodboard for the shoot, which reflects the fashion and visual style i have in mind.  i have creative directed a lot of shoots but this is the biggest one yet, and one that i feel i really connect with, and i was given a pretty good amount of creative freedom.  i can’t wait to show you guys once it’s published!

it’s a bruce brown scene

these are some crazy cool pix that our friend satomi sugiyama took of my band batwings catwings.  we were told that we are supposed to have like a band photo, so we decided to just do it during a beach day, duh.  it’s endless summer here in LA.  today i wore a summer dress in january.  anyways we took these in venice beach then went to the ale house on the boardwalk right after for some beer and grub.  it was a new discovery and the place was radical.  i cannot wait until real summer again!

101

after a few days of testing i can safely say i luv my new jeffrey campbell one o ones!  they are so comfy and super stable (no wobbly walks).  these shoes have already played a rock show, walked the melrose flea market, and gone on a beach photoshoot in a 24-hour period.  A++

letterman jackets are so classic and cool.  after perusing ebay to see if i could find the one for me i found stewart & strauss, a classic brand that let’s you design your own!  a little spendy for me (around $249 so i think i’m gonna hunt for one at the flea market), but it is way cool that you can customize your own and for petite girls like me they have a size xxs.  AND the jacket is wool with real cowhide leather sleeves…clearly the inspiration for that camel celine moto jacket everyone was coveting last season.  i almost did one in my fave team colors for when the celtics come to town, but kelly green isn’t so much my color.

surf dudes with attitudes

i’m pretty sure i am the only retard i know who watched the show california dreams.  it was like saved by the bell except the kids were in a band.  and i loved that the surfer girl dated the bad boy guitarist with the harley.  could it sound any cooler?  when i was like 10 or 11 watching this i totally dreamed about moving to california and being in a rock band.  it’s pretty cool that my dream came true.  i’ll never forget the radical theme song, which i still think about all the time:
